Leah is THREE!

 The long awaited 3rd Birthday!! Seriously, Leah has been saying "It's almost my birthday" for probably 3 months. When she came downstairs in the morning, I had balloons and streamers hanging - she was so sweet and excited when she saw them. I have always loved my own birthday, and now I get to love my kids' birthdays even more. 

Leah has had quite a year, growing (a ton - not quite literally, but close), and learning so much. She also has a love/hate relationship with wanting to be Miss Independent! It's fun to see, but can be so frustrating sometimes when we are in a hurry, but she thinks she needs to do it herself. 

Things that happened this year

• full time big girl bed 
• Has figured out how to open the door in her room (it is a tricky knob), so she thinks she gets to leave her room whenever she wants during bedtime
• Potty trained! For the most part... She still needs a pull up at bedtime. 
• Became a big sister! She was extremely jealous at first, but adapted quickly and loves Brady. 
• Knows all her colors, shapes, says her ABCs and can count to 20. 
• Wears size XS-S tops and 5T bottoms. Big girl... 
• LOVES swimming. Learned how to plug her nose and put her face in the water at vacation this year. 
• Enjoys activity magazines like Highlights and loves to color/paint/anything crafty
• Became a little more of a picky eater/just deciding that she doesn't want to eat sometimes
• Went to the Zoo for the first time and loved it
• Favorite food: Tacos
• Favorite color: changes every day.. Today it is orange apparently. That's a first.
